Our Story
Rooted in farming tradition
We are the Shelby Family, we took over the Crown tenancy at Benningholme Grange in April 1995 and we moved up from the Bingham estate in Nottingham to live and farm here. Originally we just took on Benningholme Grange but in 2017 we also took on the tenancy at Benningholme Hall. We have always been a mixed farm, growing crops and keeping sheep and pigs. In recent years we have swapped pigs for cows and added potatoes to the crop list. We are now looking to diversify into recreation as well.
Shelby Farm Padel
Padel is the fastest growing racket sport in Europe, we had a shed not being used to its full potential so decided to try something different. It contains one court, changing rooms, toilets and a mezzanine viewing level with a coffee machine and seating to debrief your match or to fuel yourself before you play.

Shelby Farm Pantry
The pantry is a self serve, refrigerated, vending machine in the padel court building containing fresh, locally produced products. If you need some steaks for dinner or some eggs for breakfast they can be purchased anytime between 6am and 10pm.
Shelby Farm Equine
Shelby Farm Equine is based at Benningholme Grange is compromises of a livery yard, an indoor arena and an off-road hacking track.
