About Padel
Padel is the fastest growing racket sport in Europe, we had a shed not being used to its full potential so decided to try something different. It contains one court, changing rooms, toilets and a mezzanine viewing level with a coffee machine and seating to debrief your match or to fuel yourself before you play. Bookings to be made via the Playtomic app and equipment will be available to borrow if you don’t have your own.
Padel is a fast-paced, highly social, and accessible racket sport offering a full-body workout that improves cardiovascular health, coordination, and agility. Played in doubles on a smaller, enclosed court, it burns between 500-1000 calories per hour, enhances mental focus, relieves stress, and is generally easier on joints than tennis.
Padel is a doubles-only racket sport played on a smaller, walled court with a tennis-like scoring system (15, 30, 40, Game). Key rules include underarm serves into the diagonal box, the ball bouncing only once before hitting walls, and a 2-game lead required to win a set. Matches are usually best-of-three sets.
